About Dry Climate Beauty
Dry Climate Beauty exists because most beauty advice assumes you live somewhere with soft water, moderate humidity, and a temperate climate. If you've relocated to the Gulf, the Middle East, parts of Australia, the American Southwest, or anywhere else where the water is hard, the air is dry, and the UV index regularly exceeds 10, you already know that assumption doesn't hold.
We started this publication after experiencing firsthand what happens when your entire beauty routine stops working after a move. Products that had been reliable for years started underperforming. Hair changed texture. Skin became reactive. And the information available online was either too generic to be useful or too focused on selling something to be trustworthy.
So we built the resource we wished existed: an independent, evidence-based publication that takes environmental factors seriously. Every article is written by specialists who live in the climates they write about. Health and clinical content is reviewed by a qualified trichologist. We cite our sources, flag weak evidence, and never recommend products without testing them.
What We Cover
Our editorial focus is the intersection of environment and beauty. We cover hair loss and damage caused by hard water and dry climates, skin barrier disruption from mineral-heavy water and extreme heat, the nutritional gaps that are counterintuitively common in sun-heavy climates, postpartum wellness compounded by environmental stress, and honest ingredient reviews for products that need to perform in harsh conditions.
We're intentionally broader than a single region. While much of our team is based in the Gulf, the challenges we cover apply to women in Arizona, Southern Spain, parts of Australia, and anywhere else where dry heat and hard water converge.
Editorial Independence
Dry Climate Beauty operates independently. We are not owned by or affiliated with any product manufacturer, salon chain, or healthcare provider. When we include affiliate links, we disclose them clearly. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial recommendations or medical review process. Our medical reviewer, Dr. Layla Hassan, reviews content for accuracy only and does not endorse products.
